Dean was born and raised in Mattawa. His entire radio career (some 16 years) has been spent here in North Bay at CKAT. He started off in production for 8 years while maintaining a part-time on air presence. He moved from that to the afternoon show and then began Breakfast with Belanger close to 6 years ago. He's married and he and his wife Lana have 5 (yes 5!) children.
