Born in PEI on the same day in 1975 that Elvis performed in Las Vegas, the Expos split a double header with San Diego and Jack Nicklaus graced the cover of Sports Illustrated in some lovely plaid pants -- Richard travelled the world as a military brat before settling down in North Bay in 1992. Six years later, he married his college sweetheart, Laurie, and became an extremely proud father when daughter Indiana was born in 2004. Richard, who's family tree has roots firmly planted in Germany and Cape Breton -- is a graduate of SJSH and Canadore College. He joined the CKAT News centre part-time in 1998, then full-time in 2001. He's the News Director and a Senators fan, enjoys unprofessionally strumming his guitar, drawing cartoons and is addicted to Star Wars and, of course, the news.
