Deciding the future of King George

2009-04-21 15:19

The future of King George Public School may be decided as early as next week.  At Monday night's meeting board trustees discussed several options about how best to proceed.  Board Chair Kathy Hewitt says one plan focuses on moving King George students to Pinewood either this fall or the fall of 2010, another option is to defer the decision to another time and the third is to revise their Capital plan to the Ministry and ask for a new school which would replace and close King George, J.W. Trussler, and E.T. Carmichael.  Whatever they decide, Hewitt says the board intends to make a decision next week and will likely vote on a motion.
